Need to replace UPPER OUTER RACE , LOWER OUTER RACE where can i find them?

I may be missing something here, but aren't the "races" simply the working faces of the bearing, ie. the plates that hold in the rollers and contact the two moving parts? (http://science.howstuffworks.com/bearing3.htm) if so, won't both races be replaced with new bearing kits (parts 9 & 10 at www.powersportspro.com under "steering stem" fiche)? are you sure you don't need some of the parts listed at power sports pro under the "Steering Stem" fiche and simply re-pack the bearings?

 

I Just got an all ***** steering bearing kit it comes with new races and bearings all for about 30 bucks

 

i got the allballz kit also and didnt know they came with the bearing races cool the factory bearings 9,10 do not have the races are you doing the stem yourself ? how hard do you think it will be
