Steering damper?
Ive heard from a few people that putting a steering damper on the 929rr is a good idea. My problem is a dont have $300-$700 to buy one thats made for the 929. But i have heard that the GSXR damper will work with a lil modification. and the GSXR dampers are like $75. Any suggestion? or ideas?
Save up and wait, or keep your eyes open for a used one. I would not get a GSXR one, its not adjustable or anything, its just a fork mount one. Save up a bit and keep your eyes open, you wont regret it.
Gonna need to agree with TK on this one. 929s really shoudl have them, since they are notorious for tank slapping. Wait and get the correct one for your bike. Anytime you try and put an non make/model part on your bike, you run the risk of malfunction.

Well thanks for the input fellas..Guess im gunna have to find a way to make some extra money before next spring. I kinda figured that was the way to go but just thought id ask. If anybody knows a good place to find some cheap ones or some good used ones let me know please!
929/954 should definitely have them. I rode my 954 for about 4 months without one. Then i bought a Scotts off a buddies track bike. Damn does the 954 handle soo much better now. Bought another mount kit and was able to use the same damper on my 929 stunter also. Once you ride your bike with a damper, i promise you will never ride it without a damper again. And i bet every bike you own afterwards, u still go out and buy a damper for it, LoL....=-)
Now if only i could fab up a mount bracket, so i can put my Scotts on my Fiddy LMAO...=-)

This is where it sits on the 929. With the HoHey adapter, there is a mount for the forks... and another that mounts up where the fairing stay used to be. They have some pretty good pics of it on their site: http://www.hoheydesigns.com/honda/929954.html
