Default Ride of the month

I just wanted everyone to know that polls open soon for ROTM. It would be nice to have a 929 up on there.
By no means is this asking you to vote for mine. Be honest in your voting. This is just my $0.02....... Enjoy.

Thanks for the vote! But Stock? Look at the 100% stock 954 that I am up against. He's got just about as many votes and he hasn't touched his. What else do I need? Changed the rear to a 200. Added some carbon fiber. Windscreen, Undertail, flushmounts. I can only do so much. I think for a 30 year old married man, with four kids that ain't bad.

Why in the name of all that is F'n holy would your put a 200 rear tire on a 929? Seriosly the 190 isn't big enough

Not at all. It actually takes away from cornering. Bikes were designed for the tire they have stock. That is what they should perform best with. Some people may step down a size to lean in better but that will still mess with the geometry of the bike in cornering.

Actually for the record, it was on it when I bought it. It was NOT an upgrade that I installed. It does look nicer to me though so I kept it. I do not race, nor do I have any problem leaning or steering in corners.

I was thinking of going to a 200 a while back, sheerly for looks. But then I heard the same stuff about cornering and all that, and chickened out. I've heard so many guys talk about 929 steering issues and the need for steering dampers - my bike is absolutely on RAILS even with no damper, so I didn't want to mess with it.

But for a German boy who loves a big butt? Man I'd put a 300 on there if it'd fit!
