i noticed that when i was riding last night - a little red light came on my dash and never went away- even after i shut it off for a full day. WHAT DOES THIS LITTLE RED LIGHT MEAN?

if I remember correctly, yellow is gas. Red would be oil pressure

Low on oil is my guess. Check it immediately. If you didnt already cause damage, you're lucky.

WHY would you just continue to ride all night and ignore it? There is a reason its RED.

its mot oil pressure because its a red light and th FI logo comes on in the digi dash. i just read the book- that means something wrong with fuel injection. HONDA DEALER HERE I COME TO GIVE YOU A BUCKET LOAD OF MONEY!!!!!!!!

 

When the kick stand is down and the eng is at an idle, count the flashes. You will notice that some will be longer than the others.
Example: BLIIIIIIIINNNNNKKKK, BLIIIIIIIINNNNNKKKK, BILNK, BLINK, BLINK. Which would be a 23 code meaning O2 sensor heater. I should know....thats what mine blinks.

 

i will try that but on your bike was the FI light on in the digi dash as well as the red light?

 

i just did a red light flash count. it flashes continuoulsy in increments of nine. so its 9 flashes - stops and then 9 flashes and then stops and noine flashes ETC .....anyone know what it might be ? could it be that i need to remapp the fuel injection because i unplugged the fuel pump earlier ?
