RECALL 929 FRONT FORK PIPE
Hi people just had a recall notification for all CBR900RR(00,01,02,03YM) and here's the info
The fracture occurs as a result of stress corrosion cracking brought on by the formation of corrosion between the steel front fork tube and the alloy casting. This corrosion normally only forms as a result of use in winter conditions, where corrosive rock salt has been extensively used on the roads to aid in snow and ice control and it says if you don't ride in winter then the chance of it happening to your machine is verry verry low.
Ps Don't know if they change the fork seals and fluid and it is FREE!!!!!!

Hay QuinC hows it goin, i got the recall letter through my door about 3 days ago.
Ive been thinking it might only apply to European and Brittish machines but i don't know that for sure so thought you all should know, if your honda dealer don't know about it don't worry about it they will contact you to let you know other than that if you ride during the winter then it might be worth gettin it checked out.
BE SAFE ONLY WHEELIE FOR ONE MILE AT A TIME

just got off the phone with my friend (works in parts dept at local honda shop) and he said that there is nothing in their system about this recall. he'll let me know if he hears anything and i will be sure to post any and all information that i find out.
