Rear fender from 954 ? Fits 929 ?

I just picked up a 2001 929 - and I am in the process of replacing the aftermarket turn signals with OEM ones... I found this great deal on a whole rear fender assembly from a 954 on eBay. Any ideas if this will fit on a 929 without too much trouble? I did check the microfiche for both the 929 and 954 and the #s are not the same, but it looks like it might work. ... I have never had both bikes side by side to compare in any detail.. any input is appreciated.
