Quick price guess
Hey all you 929 guys quick ? for ya
I'm going to look at a bike today with/for a friend. And would like your opinion on the price.
It's a 01 929 with 7500 miles. I haven't seen it yet, but he says it's been down, and has a small dent in the tank, and the rear fairing is cracked. I'm assuming a good bit of scratched paint/scratched stator or clutch cover too, but IDK sine i haven't seen it yet.
He's asking $3900. What do you guys think? Good price or should he be comin down a bit?
ps. It's in Lincoln, Nebraska if it makes any difference.

RE: Quick price guess
i wouldnt pay what he's asking but then again i got a great deal on mine so my opinion has been some what tanted.
but look in the what did you pay post and that should get you an idea of what when for what.
i wouldnt by a bike that has been down unless i got it for dirt cheap because you never know what the extent of the damage is and fixing this and then fixing that can add up fast.

RE: Quick price guess
well when i go to sell my bike if it (ever happens)
no one can make me take anything less than i am willing to accept.
now 3900 isnt a bad price but i paid $2700 for mine with low nile
scotts damper, heli bars, d&d slip-on, L.E.D. turn signals, intergarated L.E.D. taillight, framesliders, aftermarket rear-sets now the guy wanted $3200 but he took $2700 now he was happy to get $2700 would of been happier with $3200 but we both walked away satisfied in the deal and this is what she looked like when i brought her home
now i bought an 01 yzf600r in 2003 with 1200 miles on it from a CNN reporter who was moving from DC for 3200, he wanted $3500 but we both walked away with what we wanted and it looked like this
the point is neither needed any thing to ride and needed no repairs and both are in better shape than a laid down bike and if i were to sell either today i could get my moneys back because i bought them well under their blue book prices.
