Default question about rims

well i posted this in the detailing thread but not much of a response so i'll lay it on you guy's. Last winter i polished my rims one of the times i washed it i did'nt get all the water off the bottom of the rim causing water spots to form in the aluminum[sm=headbang.gif] my question is is there any way too buff this out or am i gonna have to re-sand and re-polish the whole rim to get rid of the marks.

Thanks fellas, however i tried both of these products to no avail so i think im gonna have to break out the sandpaper and re-do the whole rim which sucks but gives me something to do during the long wisconsin winter

You could also go to a auto paint store to get a more abrasive compound. This is pretty much like liquid sandpaper. If you refinished your own wheels, then I'm sure you have some. That might work to cut through just enough aluminum.

i have polished rims on my bike also.for me the toughest thing to get out is all that gunk buildup on the back rim. i use a wheel cleaner from Maguire's and pretty much never wash my bike with water anymore. i use lots of terry cloth and Maguire's Quick Detailer. that should prevent it from ever happening again hopefully.

stay warm, the weather is getting really cold.
