Default Question about Corbin seats

I am about to order a Corbin seat (I am tired of my jewels banging against the tank).
You see my bike in the first picture.

Do you think the seat would look better with or without the red stripe that Corbin puts on the side of the seat (second picture)?

Opinions?

Go to www.corbin.com and check it out. It is $219.

The big benefit from this seat (as I have read) is that it puts you back and deeper into the seat so that you don't slide into the tank. I wish we could get some feedback from some 929 owners that have one.

Thanks for the input on the color coordination.

Ah yes... the reason why i had bought a new Corbin seat ($250!!!) was that I was too short for the stock seat... personally the corbin seats with the color scheme is cool, but would probably be a hassle to try and resell to someone else who has a different color bike. The corbin seat has a little bit of a molding that sort of "hugs" your bottom... that is if you have a big one... I have to scoot back to do that with mine, so it serves no purpose there for me. Also, the seat is a little firm.... it tends to become uncomfortable after a long ride... (few hours). I hope this helps :P

Default RE: Question about Corbin seats

Heres my input on the corbin seat.

Lower coutoured seat to help cup your butt, and keep you away from the tank

Slightly lower seating ( when feet are on pegs) helps reduce back and wrist fatigue.

Due to the cup design of the seat, when @ a stop with your feet down , the edges of the cup seem to rub my thighs ( not as comfortable at a stop vs. stock)

Also due to the cup design of the seat, The corbin also reduced my footing when at a stop with my feet down. When your feet are on the pegs your butt is cupped into the seat. When you come to a stop and out your feet down you have to raise out of the cup ( if that makes sence) slightly reducing footing when stopped.

Stiffer than stock foam for sure

Better shape and fitting that stock

Over all if I dident get the seat used , for a great deal , I wouldent of been satisfied for full price $220 or what ever . I would like to check out a sargent seat for sure to compare.

But for the price of $100 Im as happy as a pig in **** !!!
