Default polishing to a chrome look

Hello
I'm new to this forum Just got 2001 929 about month ago and want to polish all the silver looking parts on the bike. my question is how do I get rid of the rough look on the end part of the frame can that be smoothed out? has anybody done this? How do you do it? any special tool to get the job done? Thanks in advance for all your help on this

yes it can be sanded and smoothed out. I would recommend a dual action sander.

Hello everybody,

Ok I'm now ready to polish my frame and swing arm bike is getting painted so I have it stripped but I have a quick question.

On my 929 the part of the frame and swing arm are not that rough material it looks like it could be polished a lot easier. what grit sand paper should I start on those parts?

thank you.
