Oil Pressure Light + FI comes on
hey guys today i went for a long ride through a long highway lol, okay so ive been driving at about 100 kms/h all day and then at one point i decided to go faster and at about 170 km/h i noticed my oil pressure + that [FI] sign came on so i pulled over, checked for oil leaks , none , oil is full so i turned it back on it went away for like 15 seconds and came back on i tried doing that like 10 times it jst wudnt go away . wierd right? this had happen to me once b4 like 1-2 weeks ago , but i pulled over turned bike off started it and it was gone :S now this time it stayed on all the way back home which was about almost an hour ride... i got home and i turned off my bike left it for about 5 minutes turned it back on and the light n sign was gone :S Now .. so guys please help... wat do you think the problem is?

I'm assuming this is on a 929 since it's in that section .... the 954's is on the back side of the cylinders on the main oil gallery .. you'd need to lift up the take and take the dust cover off on my 954 to get to it .... I've never worked on a 929 but I would assume it would be close to the same spot ...... Check that and lemme know what's up ...

hey mate got to take out my oil switch today and tested the oil pressure , got a reading of 15 psi at idle 1.2k rev 50 psi at 2.5k rev , and at 105 degrees temp ... so i guess thats fine .. and im a fkn idiot, so now afta doing all that i realise its a fault code or something like that , it is [fi] + a red light it blinks 8 times . but when riding it stays on all the time, will i need to get it scanned to fix the problem?

Fault 35 = a faulty EGCV and air intake valve servo motor ... in case you don't know where that's at, it's under your tank on the back side and lower left hand side of the motor (as you sit on the bike) ...

No problem man .... it's what we're here for ...
The specs you listed sound in the acceptable range to me, if you want added peace of mind just redo your test within the parameters I listed out to you before and see if you read close to where it's supposed to be (71 psi @ 5400 rpms ... engine temp @~179) ... But one thing is for sure, you really want that sensor functional in case you ever DO lose oil pressure ...
EGCV = Exhaust gas control valve ... it works the valve that's built into stock exhausts to manage back-pressure and an air intake valve (if you no longer have a stock exhaust you don't really need the cables left on the bike anymore really, in case they manage to work their way down into something moving ... like your chain) ... you can find them on ebay or at a local dealership ... before you go out and spend the $$$ on another one, try checking to make sure the one on the bike don't have a loose connection or worn wiring (could save ya some moolah and wasted time ... and it's a quick check) ... when you lift the tank up it's on the left side of the bike, close to the seat, against the frame ...
(here's a used one on ebay for about $20)
HONDA CBR929 CBR 929 EXHAUST SERVO | eBay
I know of a website that lets you shop for any OEM part ... BUT I went and looked up that servo motor and it's $294 on there for a new one ........... so i'd stick with ebay for now man ...
