I'm faced with quite the conundrum here. I bought a CBR 929 with a slight oil leak. Figuring the bike is 20 years old you're bound to either burn or leak some. With that in mind I still purchased this classic. The the other day I'm out washing it and take off the lower fairing like for an oil change to maybe get some gunk off and see where the leak is coming from. It's dripping a few drops of oil and some clear fluid behind the oil pan where there's a bolt going through the frame. It looks to have been visited by the JB Weld monster in the past. I'm looking at fully rebuilding it over the winter this year and have tried to Google an image that's the problem area. To no avail. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

 

Sounds like your case is cracked. Hard to say for sure without a picture....
