I just purchased this 929 a week ago and was surprised to find it already in the forum! I couldn't be more impressed by the style and power. I've previously owned a Ninja 500R, ZX6rr (598), and a ZX9r. Not that I'm partial to Kawasaki's or anything like that. They're cheap is all. When I found a chance to pick up a 900+cc Honda for less than $3k, I jumped all over it. This is a rough bike. It's been down more than a few times, and has had some idiots hacking parts off of it (literally! with a f*ing saw! Look at the rear fender if you don't believe me.) So I have my work cut out for me this winter if I'm going to bring it back to full-fledged status. I'm ecstatic to be part of the fraternity of Honda RR's. I'll post pics as work progresses. But I'm not tearing into anything until January when I consider riding season officially over in MO.

 

my beautiful 2001 929rr with 32k miles and still running strong... its been low sided on the track and been high sided on the streets... Aftermarket parts list is
devil 3/4 exhaust with titanium headers
aftermarket forks
racing brakes and wave rotors
power commander 3 w/ dyno tune
steal braided brake lines
pazzo levers
-1 front sprocket
HD chain
everything flush and integrated
aftermarket rear sets
theres so much more done to this bike... it is fully tuned for the track and makes it kinda hard to ride on the streets but still the reward highly out weighs the risk...

 

Well heres mine 01 929rr ...with Repsol fairings that were originally on there and I might end up having the wheels powercoated orange
