That is not true, at least in my case it wasnt when I had about a 3mph highside. It sounds possible but likely wont happen.

Just ride safe, take it easy on the throttle when entering/exiting turns and you'll be fine.

What I've read from other forums (peoples opinions, not experiences) is that th longer th slider, th more chance there is it'll break from th bolt. That's y a lot of people get th 3 inch. I have 6 inch on mine. With th 6 inch, ur less likely to get fairing damage. Best thing u can do is ride smart. Sliders r worthless if ur bike goes into a 10 foot somersault.

Very true... It seems rare that you lay your bike down at 50MPH+ and it just slide, unless your at the track... I was just curious. But thanks!!

On the 929RR the headers are titanium. They have peculiar hue to them, easy to notice. Blue and Yellow. And they have a bend in the middle. To get an oil filter out. No fairing removal necessary. Although I take mine off so I don't have a mess on my plastics.

Oh and by the way....Don't remove the HTV valve. I did for awhile with a full header back Muzzy exhaust. Bike was loud as hell, cool as hell, but ran like crap under 8K. I put my stock headers and HTEV back on and has so much happier with my 1/2 Devil Pipe.
