Default My gas tank doesnt fit...

Okay guys some weird stuff happening here I had my gas tank off for about 2wks to get painted. I'm trying to put it back on but, it doesnt fit. I swear. My fuel line with the banjo fitting at the end, its rubbing against my air box and kinking the hose. Please help. I'm stumped.

The line is on wrong. It's either upside down or backwards.

I will look later tonight on mine.

My line is a little different than yours. The button on the line goes in the groove on the pump so the hose goes downward to the rear of the bike. The return line points to the right side. Looks like your entire unit is backwards too.

Here's my tank. Left side of the photo is the rear of the tank. What do you think is hooked up incorrectly?

I think your entire assembly is 180 off and the pressure hose is upside down.

I flipped the one hose, it seems to fit now. I'm on my way to cycle gear to pick up my helmet. I'm going to attach the lines and try to fire her up when I get back. Thanks for all your help. I'll keep you posted

that didn't work. As soon as I flip the tank over the pressure line leaks bo matter how tight I get it. So you think I should flip the entire unit?

Worth a shot. Did you put both crush washers on the line?

Whenever I take off my tank, I remove the pressure line from the rail side then clamp it so it doesn't dump fuel everywhere. If you turn the tank upside down with fuel in it, some will come out the vent when you flip it back over.
