My first bike 929
okay, I just bought a used year 2000 CBR 929 for $2,800
clean title with 35k mileage
I have a few silly questions:
1.)I am kinda short. 5'6" so I am thinking lower it 1" or 2. (it comes with corbin seat already) How much does it cost to lower it? Will that lower trade in value later on?
2.)Bikes dont show how much gas you have? In the gas place, there is only a small light bulb.
3.) Is it because my body is small or something(125 pounds)? I find it difficult to walk the bike backward with feets especially parking unflat area.
4.) If my bike actually fell, how to get it backup? umm call strangers to help?
thank you for answering
I know it is werid that such small person ride big bike...but I am poor and the price he offers is affordable for me.

Well I can speak to the height issues as I am also 5'6".
First if you back into parking spaces you won't have nearly as many issues getting out and for me it is usually easier backing in that out.
I have not needed to lower it at all but that is just me. as far as the bike tipping over This is a pretty light bike and as though I have never had mine go over (and hope i never do) it is actually not all that tuff to get it back to vertical. The light bulb in the gas is the low fuel light. On mine it means i have another 27.6 miles left in the tank. Exactly 27.6 in mine.
hope this helps.

I too am very short but I have no need to lower the bike. I just use one foot when i have to stop at lights and what not. Never had a problem. Lowering the bike will decrease it turning ability and no something I'm willing to give up so i can put both feet on the ground at stop lights. As far as trade in value, bikes don't really have good trade in value to start off with, especially older bikes with high mileage. As far as worring about movie the bike, just be aware of where you are parking and park somewhere that allows you to easily drive off. Most of the time I have to get off my bike and move it in or out of a parking spot because I can't touch the ground. No Big deal. As far as dropping it. DON'T DO IT! Get some frame sliders just incase it does happen but the bike is pretty light and not hard to lift. The frame sliders will save your fairings and allow you better leverage if the bike does happen to get on its side.
yea I dont think I will lower it. I drive fine with boots on. I was just thinking drive with other comfortable shoes.
Anyway, I just realized that I am suppose to use my legs and not arms to pick up the bike back up.
