Well i'm new to the site and would like to say hello and as well ask for some input. I've got a chance to buy a 2000 cbr 929RR 28,000 miles clean title never wrecked for $2300. Now the only problem is the bike cranks but does not turnover and i'm no mechanic but i am pretty handy as long as the fix is not too indepth. Do you guys think this is a good buy or pass on it. Would appreciate any input.cbr Bike does have some mods: custom undertail, hugger, seat cowl, tinted screen, steering damper, Erion racing exhaust. Or i can pickup a 2001 Kawasaki zx7 20,000 with mods as well for $3200 the 2 bikes are in the pics. Thanks million in advance.

 

hate to tell you but that 929 is wrecked, obvious rash on the side, to me thats a no-go. the kawa, well its not a honda so NO, keep looking,check ebay for 929s/954 can find good lower mile 929/954 for 35-4500 all day.Good luck.

 

Well i figured something was fishy with the 929RR seller was very vague today when i was asking more detailed questions, zx7 didn't pan out either, but same guy with zx7 had a 1999 R1 15,000 miles clean/clear immaculate shape and a brand new leo vince big evolution 2 exhaust and a few other mods $3000, So i'm the new owner of a 1999 R1, Gonna have to join a yamaha forum Thx for your input though.

 

I woulda talked him down on the 929. Coulda just been something simple like plugs or coil. But good luck with the R1.
