Default Makover in Progress


All new powder coat on frame, swingarm, lower engine mount, wheels. In the process of putting her back together. Discovered that the lower engine mount did not come back so missing that have a new one going to powder coat monday. Also discovered fried rectafire/regulator connector so that will be dealt with.

Update. Having issues with the fuel pump not priming. Checked everything have power all the way to the pump cirquit, Jumped the fuel pump and works just fine.

Check the BAS and the kill switch.

When this bike was given to me it was in pieces had all fresh powder coat. Could not find the original ignition switch in all the parts so purchased an ebay ignition (them things are junk! Don't ever buy one) which does not have the zener diode in it. So the problem as of now seems to be that. Waiting for that to arrive part# NTE5007A , 3.9v 1/2w 5% DO-35 . Plan is to install inside of ebay ignition if possible.

This is where the Zener diode is supposed to be. It will be soldered in. Zener diode part number NTE5007A, 3.9v .5w 5% DO-35

Default Hack job

This is the hack job i found. Tried the 9v to pink wire test, did not prime the fuel pump. Diodes should be here this week. Will try that and see what happens and go from there.

An attempt at hotwire.
