Friend had a D&D on his R6 and I think about a 1/4 mile away it sounded like my head was in the muffler. Just bought one for my 929. should be here today. I have a micron, pretty quite sounds nice. The D&D will only be on for those loud days I want to make my friends happy that they are riding with me. (actuallY I have two friends I ride with, with loud pipes that like to do fly by's and scare me now and then so Now its payback)

Don't forget, the louder the exhaust, the bigger the red flag you are waving at the cops.....

I've got a d&d and everyone knows who I am in town. kinda sucks, especially when ya feel like playin around after midnight. I hear about it the next day. but also remember-loud pipes save lives. people CAN hear you and know you're there. mines on a 929 for the record

The sound is directed behind you, so oncoming traffic will not know you are there. If you want high visibility, get a HID lighting system, & then people infront will know you are there.

Personally, I would rather have a "stealth" pipe, and remain anonymous... no attention is good attention.

I'd vote for a Hindle pipe with a noise reducing insert. (rumbly, but not obnoxiously loud), or a 2 Bros CF, with an M4 endcap & sound reducing insert.

Just my .02c

Very true. The "myth" about loud pipes saving lives is pure BS made up by some idiot trying to justify an obnoxious exhaust. You want to be that loud, why spend any money. Just tear off the can and run open headers... [sm=loser.gif]

No attention is definately the best attention.

I hope oncoming traffic can see me, they will if they're watching the road anyways. all I know is people can hear me coming from like a 1/2 mile away. so when I'm cruising by the guy on the highway I'd bet he can hear me when I'm right next to him. it would probably keep him from changing lanes when I'm beside him. I dunno-I'm not gonna argue. I shouldn't have made the comment. you guys enjoy your quiet exhausts
