Default Looking for help

Hey! I'm a new guy! I was browsing the forum looking for info and figured I'd bite the bullet and just join.

I just recently thrashed my 929 and I'm in the market for a new gas tank (among other things). I have had very little luck searching and what I have found has been astronomically expensive. Does anyone have any good spots to look other than the usual trolling of ebay, craigslist, etc?

Or even better: does anyone have a decent 929 tank they'd sell me?

thanks!

How much is astronomically expensive? I searched a while back and they were cheaper than I expected. In fact, they were so cheap that it made more sense to keep my extra one. What scheme are you looking for and where are you needing shipping to?

The cheapest decent tank I've found has been in the $300 range. Which IS cheaper than the $800 to get one new from Honda, but is still a chunk of change.

I'm taking this opportunity to (most likely) do the Castrol red white and blue fairing scheme. Which I believe has a white tank with red Honda wings on it.

And shipping would be to Nebraska.

As soon as I'm out of my head gear I'll get to work on the bike. Thanks for the answers! I'll be asking questions this fall and winter for sure! Hopefully by spring I'll have a better-than-before 929 on the road.

You better not be asking your questions on here since you have access to the best Honda mech in the Midwest and southeast.

Slider... Is that a top gun reference or a lowside reference. Nice neck hat by the way.
