6300 seems a little high. You could buy a 954 or Gixxer 1K both of which are better bikes for the same price.

I'm Not sure what prices of bike go up north but for down here in the south those are both get prices but on the 01 red 929 I would want some better pictures befor you spend your money. he didn't say much in the discription.
I paid 6,300.00 for mine with 13000 miles but that is the south where we ride year round.
good luck you will like it.

I found mine (2001 929) on craigslist. You might want to take a look there - although it took a couple of weeks of watching the listings until mine showed up. I assume these bikes on eBay are close enough to you for you to look at before you send any money - otherwise forget it - I don't part with a dollar til I see the goods firsthand.

To me, 6300 for any 929 is generally a bit high - although I gotta admit that first one you linked looks dam sweet. Super low miles too.

Good luck, man. You're gonna love this bike, whichever 929 you end up with.

I got my 929 with some rash on the right side for 4800 at the beginning of last August. Hold off for a bit and you'll find the right bike for the right price. I had very very minimal desire for a 929, but it came along at the right time and for the right price, so I jumped on it. Just keep your eyes and options open...

I think that the red/white 2000 looks to be in good shape. I would contact him, and if he is close to you, take a look at it and offer him $5100. Since he was looking to get $6100 for his buy it now, he would probably either take it or counter-offer for $5500. I think that $5500 would still be a pretty good deal. I also agree that craigslist is a great place to look.

Yeah, my experience with craigslist was good, but I admit watching the want adds can be tough, man! It's hard to wait....... especially for a bunch of guys like us. After all, ya can't expect "patience" from a guy who wants a bike that does 0-60 in 3 seconds!!! lol

Depending on how adept you are at doing some work yourself, you might try picking up a fixer, I got my 2000 929 for 1100, straight frame, minimal bodywork, needed paint and a new stator, front brake reservior and kickstand, 900 dollars later and good as new, and it saved me on the ebay shipping fees!
