Default Looking at buying this 929

Hi all, I am brand new to the sport bike world. I’m looking at this 2000 Honda CBR 929. It’s got 3000 miles on it and it’s from a collector. He told me that the valve adjustment was done 10,000 miles ago. I know it’s a little bit rough around the edges, but that’s not really my concern being it’s selling for such a cheap price.

When you say that it’s being sold for cheap, what are you basing this on? Bike prices vary wildly from region to region. It could be a great price, it could be super high.
I would not consider it a collector’s bike. There are a lot of them on the road.
the camera angles are suspicious to me but I just could be overly cynical. There are no real direct shots and what is shown are fairings that have some damage.
I would have a mechanic look at it if you aren’t familiar with mechanical things, specifically bikes.

To me price seems a little high for a sport bike with that many miles. Stretched swingarm usually is a bad sign to me. I bought one with a stretched swingarm and first gear and shift forks where pretty worn bike had 45k so not too far off. Without looking at it In person I wouldn't pay more than 2500 for that one
