Little help here?
Hi all.
The Blade is running perfectly 90% of the time. (don't you hate an intermittent fault?)
However, occasionally during a ride it will develop a bit of a miss on roll on from about 4000 RPM.
This then persists, but without any red lights or alarm codes.
I have found that simply switching the bike off and then restarting, either with the starter or even just roll starting on the move instantly and completely cures the problem.
Until it does it again.
So, it's unusual, doesn't happen every ride and seems random, like, it doesn't only happen when going slowly on a bumpy road or when I'm on the highway or riding fast et etc..
Thoughts?

That's a difficult one PH,
You'll have to isolate whether it's electrical or fuel and go from there.
Fuel vent not blocked? When it stops/stumbles and you open the fuel cap, does it suck air? Does it have a fuel filter? Clean or replace.
If it's electrical, go through all the connectors and clean them up. Battery in good condition? Could be a loose plate shorting internally? R/R beginning to fail?
It could be easy to locate the problem, or you may end uptearing out your hair.
Best of luck and let us know how you go.
Cheers, SB

Hi SB
Tearing out the hair is the current state of play..
The problem, of course, it that the fault is intermittent and under 90% of circumstances, everything I check is as perfectly fine as the bike's performance...
I am leaning to electrical over fuel as, while the symptoms could be either, that fact that simply restarting the system cures the problem suggests it's more likely to be in the wiring somewhere.
Which is great, because everybody knows tracing an intermittent fault in a wiring loom is both enjoyable and simple...
I was hoping somebody here might have had the same issue and would spring forth with a 'magic bullet' solution.
On a positive note, I just took it out for a run and it was flawless, so who knows?
I shall keep you all updated

Ok, so good news, I have now done 500 km since I first posted and the problem has not re-occurred.
Here's the prevailing wisdom. The bike was a bit of a barn find, having sat unused for a decade.
While it was almost pristine, the fuel pump failed to prime when a new battery was connected up.
And here's a picture.
Sp, sourced a replacement pump and spent ages cleaning out the entire fuel system.
Put it all back together and voila! Bike runs perfectly.
Until it didn't.
So, we think there was still a bit of that horrible old fuel and sludge still hiding away in bits of the tank and the fuel system that we just hadn't found.
And the glitch was just that stuff working its way out of the system.
Anyway, she's now running perfectly
We did 360 km today
