RE: LED taillight wiring problem
Do you need a taillight initgration unit? I removed a box from my bike to put standard turn signals on that controls all that.

RE: LED taillight wiring problem
I might. See it didnt come with any instructions. but my main problem is that I cant get a steady +12V out of any wire when the ignition is on. It only supplies voltage when the brake is pressed. I'm thinking of running a 12V wire from the headlight. it should still be well within the fuse's capabilities.

RE: LED taillight wiring problem
you dont hve to do all that and no you dont need a intergration box. but i still havent got a chance to look at it though

RE: LED taillight wiring problem
I have that same taillight but smoked. Funny thing is when I bought my bike the brake light didn't work and the turns were clipped. When I installed this light (I got instructions and resistors) I had to rewire the front switch all the way back (front lever, to the battery [constantly getting power], to the taillight). Now when I start my bike the headlight doesn't turn on and the amber signals are constant (no red lights, just the amber bulbs). After the bike warms up it goes to how it should be and the headlight and gauges and everything else light up. I think my battery is just needing replaced, which I was thinking before I purchased the bike since it was sluggish starting up.
