Default Immobilizer

Hi, again ..

I seem to recall reading somewhere, perhaps UK "Bike" mag, that FI 'Blades, including the 929,
had an immobilizer built into the ECU. Does anyone know if this is true or not for US / Canada
spec bikes?

Default RE: Immobilizer

im trying find this out myself. i dont think there is on us/canada bikes. i have a haynes book for fireblades, in the ignition section it says there is three parts of the imobiliser system...the key has a transmitter, the switch has a reciever and the ecu reads the reciever, i guess you have to use a registered key to the ecu on those, but since my 929 nor my buddy's fireblade929 have a chip on the key. i'd say there is no imobilizer system on our bikes. but if anyone knows different let me know.
