Default im new here but........

I'm new here I just purchased a 01 929ER with a scotts steering damper, d&d slip on, intergrated l.e.d. taillight, adjustable rearsets, smoked windscreen and she looks to be a 9 out of 10 paint and plastics all for the low low price of $2700.00, oh yeah she runs and rides great.

well Lord Jersey she looks just like yours but I'd be happy to put up a pic.

where exactly is this Htec valve thing located and how exactly do I make that sound stop?

oh just so I don't get this later and it may help me out later.

I've been riding for about 7 years and this is my 6th bike before this I owned a (in order)
1988 fz600
1987 vfr700
2001 yzf600r (still own)
1991 fzr600 ( I sold to some guy in jersy,its green)
2000 zx12
2001 cbr929ER

so if I ask a dumb question it is because I searched the forum and didn't find it.

I am also a member of the yzf600.com forum and am a resident post ***** there so I will be bring my skills here.

20k

I have a few questions about something that I read but didn't quite get.

like what are the 2 black things in the headlight cowling if the 929 doesntt have ram air?

and there are just air tubes that connect to the airbox and these tube are under the panels beside the tank? was this like a close to ram air design that didn't get completed?

what color are the stock headers on our bikes? I have a 600r yamaha and on all my previous motorcycles the headers have been black but the ones on the 929 I have are a titanium color?

Under the covers are the air ducts. about as close as honda wanted to go during this production run. And the stock header is titanium.

I'm going to need more than "rubber things" to try to help you out.
