where is he beating you, top end or low end?

-Riding skill makes a big difference.
-You could change your gear ratio..
-Nitrous

First off, this the wrong forum. This forum is to post a "how-to" where you share with us HOW you did something like a turn signal mod or an undertail install or something. If you want other peoples advice you post in "general tech" or in the "929" forum where the folks in there ride your particular bike. But since you asked and I read, You can quit tryin to race him. Keep that sht on the track, before you hurt someone.

its honestly going to be hard for you to accomplish what you want because at the root of the problem is that he has 70 more cc's than you. You can regear your bike and have it better on the low end, but then hell still take you on the top end. Only reall way to make it definitly faster (taking the rider out of the equation) would be to 1. Increase the CC's (New motor or big bore kit) 2. Nitrous or 3. Turbo. No quick fix will make up for the difference in engine size.

nitrous, is the fastest and cheapest way.... It's also a good way to kill yourself or more importantly someone else.

No the fastest and cheapest way to upgrade your bike is with rim stripes. It adds atleast 50hp and she will look fast just sitting still.

Really, is the Gixxer newer? Get a same year 1000rr and give her a go.

The bike needs a new rider? lol.

How about Powercontrol unit, change settings on the air filter or do a direct link mod to the carbs with a individual air filter for each carb. At least that is going to give you a better intake and power...
