well today I went to the local bike shop just to kill time and they actually had an 08 1k sitting on the floor so I had to inspect it closer and saw it had no ' do not sit on' sign so I did and it felt really comfortable and right next to it was a silver 07 1k and I just compaired the two and the 08 tailsection looks like they ran out of either fund or ideas, it was rather narrow compaired to the 7's and once you chop the stock rear lights, a undertail is a must because the stock brake light looks rather plain as well, nothing like the 07's. the lil moto gp style exhaust isn't as nice a the 07's undertails.

I have also realized that every year these bikes get smaller and since I'm not a small guy I look like I'm on a pocket bike with some of these narrow skinny 1k's

have at it buddy, I'm just too big for such a lil bike, not in liter size but in physical size!, I like the older bikes because the have that lil extra dept and I really don't want a busa or a 14!

 

i agree, it seems as though everything after 03' got tiny, i wanted a 07 600rr until i saw how small it was in person. bikes like the 929 and 00'-03' gsxr 750 are perfect in size, atleast for me.of course the reason newer bikes are so small is because they have to sell what they race.
i like the 06-07 1k rr and if i get one that maybe my last latest sportbike (unless they make a cbr 750)

 

I just want to see them and sit on one.... I wouldnt think of getting rid of my 929...NEVER!!

 

I had a 00 zx12 and that thing was perfect

except for the crank bearing it spun and warped the cases and knocked a hole in the stataor cover and destoying the stator and momentarily locking the motor and wheel at 80mph

but it was perfect! lol anyways if it didn't give up the ghost I wouldn't of found my Erion for 200 dollars more than I sold the 12 for with a bad motor.
