are running the factory timing chain tensioner?

If you are, how many miles/kilometers on your bike?

Has anyone actually seen a factory tensioner fail?

Thanks again to those who replied to the last thread, I have just picked the bike up from a local race shop. They checked the valves (all in spec) and said my factory tensioner was just fine. Bike has 13700miles/22000kms on it. I was looking to replace the factory tensioner with a manual unit but their advice was to wait untill next year. I made it clear that the bike will not be babied at the track.

Agree? Disagree?

 

Mine still has the factory tensioner... I've got 27,000 miles on mine.... Your valves should still be in spec, they recommend that they are adjusted at 18,000 miles I believe, but mine is still running strong with no weird sounds so I haven't had them adjusted yet.

 

20k on the factory one here. I've also had mine completely apart to see how it works at 12k.

 

12k still no problems here.

 

Just turned over 30k on mine and no problems at all.

whats up buddy i got 20000mi on stock tenstioner here and i run my bike hard, with power commander and sprockets so its all good

 

just passed 20k with the factory one, no problems so far.
