I've honestly never tried to hit top speed. Don't get the chance to ride spirited that often. Got a track day coming up so I'll get my chance.

 

It ain't workin'

 

I have done an indicated 165 or so on my 900, its hard to tell exactly going that fast. I consider the speedo to be generous, but still was way too damn fast and have no plans of duplicating it. Too many things can go wrong, and I like living.

 

I had mine up to 155 indicated, and that was because I wanted to make sure it was faster than the yzf600r I was riding before !!

 

i got mine to read 168mph but not sure what that really computes to

 

171 and still more to go...
