fuel filter?

RE: fuel filter?
Sorry to say, man - it's inside the fuel tank, mounted along side the pump as an assembly. That's to say, it comes out as an assembly - the filter can be changed seperately, of course.

Fuel filters are not a high frequency item normally, especially on motorcycles.

RE: fuel filter?
now i live in reno nevada but before i lived in a little town called Quincy california, hints my name. lets just say that the pumps are so old that 1 of the gas stations here still isn't electric and it has the rotating white and black numbers. makes you feel like your getting more gas though since it takes so long to pump..

In answer to your question on accessing the filter, you get at it from the bottom of the tank. Referring to the picture on the Bike Bandit website, the pump and filter are attached to the oval housing and come out together through the opening in the tank's bottom.
You'll need item 10 ( the filter ), item 13 ( base gasket ) and two of item 17 ( sealing rings for the banjo fitting on the end of the fuel outlet line. I first siphoned as much fuel out as I could, but it's still sort of a messy job. Having a tube of Hylomar or similar sealant on hand couldn't hurt, but technically shouldn't be necessary. I'd wish you luck, but you won't need it. It ain't that bad.
