Wait a minute wait a minute...
I don't consider myself an authority by any means, but I've always heard the K&N filter, a, "high-flow" filter, increases horsepower?
When did this happen? I've always bought K&N filters... for everything. You tellin' me I'm a sheep?

Hey guys, thanks for the info. well for sure the first thing im getting aBMC filter. And i think im going to send a letter to K&N about that. and my Powercomcander was a bad ground. its always the small stuff you over-look. im going to look into the hass block too. i was told that if i take off the valve the bike will be crappy on the low-end and choppy is this true?

kidcrnshaw,
Yep, sheep! lol. The stock air filter or the bmc street or race will allow more cubic volume of air. I tried all three in my old 929 and the stock was seocnd best to the bmc.
In reply to the original poster. What they said about the HTEV is correct but only if you do the mid pipe. In regards to the loss of power, that's not entirely true, but it has to be in combination with other upgrades/improvements or tuning. As far as the flapper mod, remove the direction pillions around it too. You can also consider superflare velocity stacks. I had them in my 929 and they were an exceptional improvement. Running a base map on the pc3 will not take full advantage of tuning. Having it custom tuned is where you will be able to take advantage of the incremental rpms and a/f with "optimal" performance in mind.
Have fun!
