Default CBR 1000 stabilizer modified to fit?

Hey guys,
I'm working on my project 929. Already replaced exhaust, wiring harness & ECU, and bodywork is in the body shop. I had a 954 years ago and it was very stable compared to my R1, but I've heard the 929's benefit from a steering stabilizer. My question is about adapting a top triple clamp mounted unit off a 1000. Has anyone tried this?

I'd like to see some photos as well if possible.
A good cheaper option.
What size is the fork clamp required.

Thanks I have heard about it being done but never seen it (and why didn't I think of going between the forks).

Milling machine is warming up now.

Which model gsx has the best stabilizer or are they all the same my 929 shakes it head like a police dog on a criminal.

Hey Z don't know where you are but i'm in Australia and to buy any bike bits here are twice the price of America and postage to here from the USA is expensive.

I've been looking on ebay at gsxr dampers any idea if there is any difference between them later models have some electrical gadget on them

Once I build mine and get the measurements right I will draw it up and scan it to this site looks like it could be done with a grinder and a large drill bit for the inside curves

Any idea about the dampers from Thailand (7 steps and look like they are similar in dimensions) for about 40 bucks, no gsxr dampers on ebay in Aust and xxxxy to get one from America because of postage

I bought an Ohlins stabilizer on ebay that fit the hohey adapter pictured and whipped up a crappy version out of aluminum. From their website:

"01-05 600/750 GSXRs lower triple mounting style"

There is also good info to take the gsxr stock stabalizer and modify it + heavier oil to make it stiff like the upper end of the Ohlins. You'd have to sneak into their forums and read up to get the details. Just put a picture on your profile with your hat on backwards and they'll never suspect you actually own a Honda.

Measurements would be great. GSXR dampers are plentiful and cheap. I'd probably weld up the brackets out of steel--nobody is going to see mine behind the fairing.
