Default To bore or not to bore

I am considering boring my engine about .30 over stock size. I have not been able to find any information about the pros and cons toward doing this. Can anyone give me info or an idea if this will create an issue with the engine wall thickness. Right now with the mods I have on it I am running approx. 180 HP and I want more.

No, no bottle, stock the bike has 155 stated by Honda, at the crank (probably something like 125 at the rear wheel, but like I said it is an approximate and calculated by percentage of increase that the mods give me. So if the numbers are off, I'll let you know how I make out, I should be able to get true numbers from the rear wheel.

I have a full stainless over sized exhuast, carbon pipe (opened up) K&N air filter. Stage one jets.
The HP is estimated, but with the mods it give me approx 15% more horse than stock.

I want to dyno it this summer to get true readings and go from there.
If I bore it, it will significantly change the comp ratio so I sound get more.

Stage one jets

uummmm.........do you mean powercomander?????? 929's are fuel injected.

honestly, you might be better off selling your 929 and buying a bigger bike then boring out the 929 engine.

I agree with jd above here. why spend money tearing apart your engine, have it bored out, and piece it back together when you could sell your bike and buy a 1000 with mods for prolly less money?

it is your money though so spend it as you wish. just my 2 cents
