I have a 2001 Erion edition 929rr. The bike will sometime start and if it does it will run like complete crap. whn you take off in first gear you have to give it a bunch of gas or it will die out. it has no low end at all? what would be the problem with it only starting occasionlly and when it does it running like crap. Battery is good and i just changed the oil and the plugs. any idea?

 

you could have a bad map in your pc3 if you have one, you could have a bad fuel pressure regulator possibley dirty or gummed fuel injectors( i recommend "SEA FOAM" for this)

 

did u have these problems before u changed the plugs?

 

before i changed the plugs the bike wouldnt start, i just bought it and then the guy said it had a bad fuel pump. well i bought a new one and it still wouldnt start. so then i changed plugs and it started right up but still ran like crap. i just reset the map on it yesterday and it still trys to die out on me when i get into low rpms and take off.

 

you did change the filter right?? stupid question i know..but. also id unplug the pcIII and let her run off the oem ecu. and run lots of seafoam through her. also check spark out of each coil to make sure every plug is firing... if so. its got to be fuel. check regulator. ect..... good luck

 

sounds to me u have a bad coil or coils. check your coils to see if the boots are loose or if they are seeping a little bit of liquid on them.
