Which is the better chain?

You're running the heavy chain, so your should probably be getting about 500<>1000-ish
miles between adjustments. What are you using for lube? I usually like to lube
after a run, while the chain is warm. It helps the lube penetrate better, imo.
I hose it pretty heavy, let it sit a bit, and then wipe off the excess.
I lube/inspect the chain about every-other tank of gas. The life
of the chain is directly linked to proper lubrication at all times.
The x-ring aren't stronger chains, per se. It's more about lubrication retention,
is my understanding. The cost is in a more difficult manufacturing process.
If you are diligent, there is no reason to defer from an O-ring chain.
Hope this helps, Ern

Liquid wrench is not a good chain lubricant. It is too light, the chain will throw it
off and lead to heavy wear. It's roll is as a break-free, penetrant. You can use it
to clean the chain prior to lubricating it.
There are several chain lubes on the market, the one's with
wax and penetrants work well for me. It sort of 'foams' on the chain. Just use a shop rag to wibe off what doesn't penetrate, so it doesn't fling that all over the swing-arm.
I highly recommend you get a 'specifically for chains' spray-lube and use it often.
You'll be amazed what regular, diligent maintainence will do for the life of the chain.

Regina makes good chains, DID is always good, but I would lean towards the Tsubaki Sigma 530 chain. Stay away from RK chains, they are not made by the same people sometime after year 2000, before then, RK was also good though. PJ1 blue label chain lube is probably the best you can get unless you can get your hands on a spray called LPS-3. You spray your chain with PJ1 blue label at LEAST a few hours before you plan to ride, and I can tell you there will be no sling off. I usually spray my chain the day before I plan on using the bike though. Stick with 530 chain also, don't let anyone talk you into going 525 or worse 520.
