I got a cheap $100 Fulmer full face. I think Shoei is supposed to be the best, but they're outta MY price range.

Only problem with my Fulmer is the weird padding and how it f---ks up my hair - after I've had it on for an hour or so, when I take it off I look like Wolverine's grandfather.... scares my kids.

my main helmet is a hjc cl-14 kast in yellow. a little noisy and heavy but overall not a bad helmet. btw, if you have a 2000 yellow 929, this is the closest match to the factory yellow. the 01's had a lighter shade of yellow. i also have a kbc but it's mainly worn when my hjc is covered with bugs and i'm too lazy to clean it. i attached a pic from the hjc site for your viewing pleasure.

I have a Shoei RF900 Helmet and think it's great, they are up to RF1000 now. Lot of licensed replicas with Shoei as well. There are a lot of really good helmets out there. It is mostly personal preference. I like Shoei, Arai, Icon and Suomy. Suomy has some of the baddest graphics I have seen on a factory helmet. Hope this helps. Keep us posted on your results.

Shoei

Comfortable, quiet, and very high ratings.

Expensive yes, but you get what you pay for. You can't replace your skull.

This is what my helmet looks like. I found this picture on e-bay. I paid half this at my local dealership. Shop around. You will find a deal on one you like.

Last week I bought Shark RSR2 ( Foggy Legend RBK ), payed 660 $ but it is worth every cent. I tested it at about 299 km/h on my 929 and the feeling is great. Aerodinamic is just great, there is no wind blowing inside, and 3 mm thick wind sheld is proventing any fogying even in coldest condition. I tested it with my steem iron . And of course it is made form carbon-fibre

You can pick up a Shoei RF-1000 anywhere from 375.00 to 425.00 depending on the model/color you pick. I have owned a number of HJCs (not bad helmets), and an AGV, but nothing feels as comfortable as the Shoei. I did try an Arai, and they are nice, but more expensive than Shoei and not as comfortable. Go to a local shop, try some on for fit and check sizes. Once you know what you want search the internet for s good price from a reputable dealer and you will save yourself some bucks that way.

You can also read helmet reviews online, and see what the experts say about them as well. But I don't think anyone will dispute Shoei's reputation, and considering whats out there, the price really isnt all that bad.

Good luck, let us know what you end up getting.
