Raising the 1" will help.
Hope this will help a little: Having followed lots of students, you're hanging off with your butt and abs but not with your torso or head. Play the video and put your cursor on the dead center of your helmet, as you move through the turns, it stays in the same place on the helmet. On a left turn, ALL of the helmet should be left of the cursor, on a right, ALL on the right.
The goal, of course, is to move the center of gravity out so the bike requires less lean angle. The COG is the torso and head - not the butt. Moving your torso/head out will decrease lean angle and decrease hard-part scraping.
One of the things I tell students to get in the feel of practicing this to drop the inside elbow. This forces the torso over.

I have the same problem. I've done 5 track days this summer and I'm having issues with ground clearance. I've scrapped my pegs, lower fairing and ground the toe slider right off of my boot. I've seen videos of me and I'm hanging off like a friggin monkey and the bike isn't leaned over that far. My bike is lowered 1 inch in the front so I'm guessing that is contributing to the problem. I'm going to raise it up a bit and get some adjustable rear sets. I've read reviews of the 929 and they all say the 929 suffers from clearance issues on the track.
Heres me at Mosport a couple weeks ago. It's a very famous track in Canada for those that don't know. Not very technical but extremely fast and flowing.

Thanks for the tips and suggestions. I'm definitely going to work on my positioning next time out. Keep in mind that vid was my third time ever on a track, and I was still taking it all in instead of focusing on good technique and being smooth all around. I was running 1'38-39s, advanced group was running 1'34-35s , I was pleased with my progress. Can't wait to go back!
