Default 929 Tail Light Lens Swap

What is the best way to go about changing the rear tail light lens on a 929?

I recently picked up a clear lens/red lights and want to do the swap.

Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I can take a look at mine later to be sure, but I think the easiest way is to remove the rear tail fairing then unscrew the lens. The tail fairing comes off fairly easy. I can get mine off in less that 10 minutes.

Thanks for the heads up. I tried to remove the tail yesterday with no luck. I took all of the bolts/screws out of it and unhooked the rear tail light bulbs. It is loose but doesnt want to come off. I also removed the passenger seat as well.

What am I missing? I just dont want to crack the tail or mess it up. Thanks again for any input. I really want to get this clear lens installed.

Once its loose, it does take a little manipulating to get it around the r/r.

No tricks. Just work it around the r/r. It will flex a bit without breaking.
