Since my 929 has a bent shift fork and occasionally likes to reject going into 2nd I have been contemplating making a change vs. fixing it this winter.
I love Ducati's 848EVO in arctic white. After being tormented with old vs new I test rode the new 848 today. Nice bike but... after getting back on my 929 I'll keep what I've got. It's not the most powerful, pristine, or newest bike out there but it's still a freaking awesome bike. Throw in the fact it has a good amount of storage in the tail, is more comfortable, feels great when you get into it, etc I'm good where I'm at.
The 848 is buzzy, has the worst mirrors, cooks your legs worse than the 929, the front fairing and windshield are too low (it pinches your hands on the bars in full lock), and needs valve adjustments at 7500 miles. Though it does track like a dream and the brakes stop like a brick wall, I'll give em that.
