Did you pull out the flappy thingy in the airbox
did you just remove the h-vix it may take the ecu a few rides to adjust to the better exhaust flow.
Has it got a pc on it more info needed mate

Hi Sj66, Thanks for the reply,
No i havent pulled out the flappy thing in the airbox i just removed the cables from the exhaust valve, left the cables attached above and just cable tied them to the fairing. i locked the valve fully open.
I have just ordered a pc3 today and will arrive shortly.
I have installed a custom made twin Termi exhaust and the problem started then.
im hoping i can download a map from dynojet to match my exhaust and k&n filter.

Any more info would be great.....

929's and 954's do not respond well to K-N filters. The stock filter performs better than the K-N. As for the htev your bike will run much better with it installed and working properly. Only time to remove/disable is when putting a full exhaust with custom tune. Otherwise you are hurting the low-midrange power by locking it in the open position. My 954 has a working htev but I did remove the flapper in the airbox since it is only there to decrease intake noise for emissions control.

I concur the htev is real important for up to 8000rpm's it's what gives you that midrange

If you are getting a pc get it dyno'd and all will be sweet.
The standard ecu will make allowances (for intake and exhaust changes) but a custom tuned pc should fix all
