929/954 reverse shift pattern
If you have ever wanted reverse shifting for you 929/954 here it is! I have 2 available.I bought 3 when i was racing just incase i crashed! I sold the 954 and have 2 left over. This is a vfr shift lever that works perfectly for reverse shifting by eliminating the linkage. Just cleaning up my garage so i don't need these lying around anymore.Once you use reverse shifting (gp shift) you will never want to go back to regular shifting again!! $25 each.I will shipfree USPS.I prefer to use paypal so that both parties are protected. Email driberich@yahoo.com if you have any questions.
EDIT....THE $25 INCLUDED IS WITHIN THE U.S STATES : ADDITIONAL CHAGES APPLY FOR OUT OF THE COUNTRY.

RE: 929/954 reverse shift pattern
I was one of the guys who got one (many thanks, Doug!)
My first impressions are that it is going to take a little while (a few days) to get used to the new pattern, and it is worth the effort. Feels like the shift action is more positive (removing a few links will help), which has to be a good thing. The second thing is that the new sifter is a little closer to the peg than the stock shifter (read: less room between the peg and the end of the shift lever). So, if you have very big feet (mine are 12 and they fit fine) then you may have a problem.

RE: 929/954 reverse shift pattern
Hey Mark! Glad to see that it worked out for ya! You are right, on remembering the different pattern....Best thing to do is maybe tape a reminder on your tank so when you get on it you will remember. BUT once you get use to it, you will like it much better than the original shift pattern. Taking out the linkage helps make a firmer shift and also will help in NOT bending the shift forks. (Especially the 1-2 gear change) If anyone else has any questions feel freee to post or email me driberich@yahoo.com

RE: 929/954 reverse shift pattern
I did a nice long ride this evening, mixed country and city, fastish and slow urban crawl with lights, and only messed up the shift once. I have to say that I am hooked. The 1-2 is easier and more precise, and cluthless up shifts are a breeze (they were easy before, now way easier).
All I can add is if you have an interest, this is the way to go. A+ from me.
