929 or 954
man im no expert but i ride a 00'929 and my buddy rides a 02'954 with mine being stock with a can,his being -1 front, erion can,pc III ,with a custom map.dynoed at the rear wheel 142hp.we ride twistys ,interstates whatever and he cant leave me and i cant leave him.so unless your gonna do some major track time.now im sure my 929 is not putting out 142 hp but on the street weekend riding i cant see the difference (tears my buddy up too).guess i would say pick the one thats styling appeals to ya.or the one that has the best price tag.but youll prob be able to find a pretty sweet 929 for less than an equally sweet 954,,,just my .02$ happy shopping

I'm a little bias here but I personally think the 929s look bettr. I had a chance to buy a 954 a few years back but it just didn't appeal to me but when I found this 929 I lost sleepp on where I was going to find the money to buy it!

I agree 100% on both above posts, My usual riding buddy has a 02 954 and we are glued to eachother, I cant shake him and he cant shake me, if we do open it up on the parkway the one in the front is only there cause he hit it first...
as Biggnibb said the 929 just has that little extra flavor, cant really explain what it is (Mostly the giant gap on the 954's nose where the air duct covers should be)
Either way it comes down to wich one you can get cleaner and cheaper then the other
**cough** 929 *cough*

The 954's are great bikes but I chose the 929 as all of us here did. The 954 does have some extra power, is slightly more nimble, but it is wheelie happy as all hell. You come out of any corner and it just wants to be on the rear wheel. The 929's seem more stable in the corners and at high speeds. Each bike has its good and badbut I love my 929.
