Default $30 dollar do it yourself fender elimiinator

And the dis-configuration begins....

first gut bottom of the tail light... mark on both sides where the plastic of the tail light and the tail meets up.... and cut it (i used a dremmel)

next admire how the license plate will now sit nicely flush with the vertical part of the tail...

lastly figure out how to mount your new integrated tail lights/signals (im going to be making a aluminum bracket that bolts to the bottom two lisc. plates holes)

side note the remainder of the stock light will be sanded and painted to match the undertail (gloss black)

and of course these pics were all prelim... i went over it good and sanded down the rough edges yesterday evening

I like it, check out hyperlites if those don't end up being bright enough as replacement tails. I'd worry about getting rear-ended at night. I just moved my plate up snug with the stock tail and took a sawzall to the extra plastic. Yours will look much nicer, keep the pics coming.

undertail is nearing completeion.... i screwed up yesterday and cut too much off the tail light.... por a cast plastic kit is a godsend (you can make your own plastic with it) i filled the tail light with plastic...

also made some brackets yesterday.... TURNED OUT BA

just needs some sanding and its ready for paint

Do they still make the plastic kit? Seems a lot easier to work with than fiberglass resin. I might have to copy you and update mine this winter.

here is the link to the site i bought it from

http://www.bare-metal.com/Pathway%20...n-Casting.html

ill tell you wat man if you do it.... once you mix the two chemincals its a 1 to 1 ratio.... stir it for a minute then poor it... because once the chemical reaction occours the plastic hardens in like 10 seconds to putty then like give it another minute and its rock solid

anyway here is the finished product

it seems a little **** eyed but thats because the bolts and nuts werent completely tight

Thanks for the link. Those drill bits look awfully familiar, I wonder if you got them the same way I got my couple sets...
