well last week we got 2 new 1000rr's a silver and black and a red one. wetook them out of the crates and within 30 minutes they were both sold and the new owner of the silver one (which is by far the better looking one) wanted it dyno'd so we strapped it down and it put down 154 hp and 79.xx tq. i was pretty imressed on the powerit made. i got a chance to take one of them for a quick spin and it feels faster than the previous year 1krr. the 08 is kinda uncomfratable to ride for me. i think there is most definatly power to be had in the pipe stock pipe is very quietand looks restricting. just thought i would share with you guys

no i don't think it was too little it sat about right for me hieght wisebutthe inside on my thighs are there is a hump between the tank and seat it just didn't feel right.

yeah working at a dealer has it's benefits. at my store we sell honda suzuki and sea doo.honda i think has the best dirt bikes out right now and their new sport bikes are coming around suzuki has always had good sport bikes, and to cap it off i get toride jet ski's all the time and get paid for it

as far as pics i wish i wouldhave thought about it and got some while it was on the dyno (stupid me) we don't have any now but should be getting a shipment soon (hopefully) we are strugling to get units this year

I hate to sound like a suzy bitch-a-lot but I was so disappointed in the 08 1000 it might have big numbers but it is not an appealing bike. the rear seat looks almost bigger than the tail and the whole thing just looks to small. I love the bikes you KNOW you're riding. 929s(biased), 954s, even the gixxers. I just don't really care for the direction the big four are taking with "lighter and smaller" are better. http://powersports.honda.com/motorcy...elId=CBR10RRL8

seldon, have you seen it in person? it really isnt as bad looking. but like you said it doent have the same appeal. i think the looks of the 1krr will grow on us, just not much. lol
i just hate the fact that they change them so quick, bikes get outdated as fast as computers.

Dang dude, I couldn't have said it any better. Coming from the F3, I was disappointed in the size of the 600RR. 1000RR is only slightly better. I don't like feeling like I'm bigger than the bike - the 9's certainly give that feeling of a, "big-bike."

I hope the new liter bike line from Honda addresses this. If the rumors of the V4 are true then we could have a completely new-feeling bike from Honda. Hopefully it's gotthat, "CBR" feel.

I didn't even throw a leg over the new one I disliked it so much from the front pimp as usual and then they ran out of money probably on the exhaust fairing or whatever that little thing is. I'm really trying to let it grow on me but it won't. I thought (it's honda right, it's got to be good) but I still can't stand it. the new gixxers on the other hand are slickness.
