He needs a slap in the face, a bike that had been crashed head on is a waste of nerves, time and money. You would be better off buying a frame and building up on it rather than trying to put it back together. Even if this bike were free, i would only want the engine. The forks are bent, the frame is bent the plastics are trash. I would say if it were 100 bucks it would be worth it but more than that is just a waste.

Copart is a bunch of bull. You have to have a license or buy through one of their brokers which adds several hundred dollars to the sale price. They dont want or allow individuals to buy stuff cheap. Its for salvage yards or used dealers to buy stuff cheap then fix it or part it out and make huge profits for themselves. I know this because I tried to buy some bikes from them. They will let you register on their site but when you try to bid it will not allow it. Bait and switch if you ask me. Craigslist is best place to find good deals on bikes.

I second both above post... tell him to walk I found a 900 for 1,000 that I rode home
