RE: What about 93-94 CBR900RR's??
I have a '92 - though, it was advertised as a 93 - the build date is 11/92 so i don't know if the first model to come out (in the shops) was 92 or 93. anyway, mine has stage II wade cams, magnum exhaust, K&N air filter and has supposedly been dyno-jetted (to what stage i don't know) - it goes ok but i got a feeling that it either has the wrong jets or has a slipping clutch as it seems to rev high quickly at above 9krpm but doesn't seem to get moving much faster - i've not ridden a later model (or even one the same as mine) so have nothing to compare it to - but i'd be interested in hearing what others have done to the older models to get em going, and whether you had any ideas about what might be causing this problem. if not - i guess putting it on a dyno is my only option

Welcome to the boards Shayne. 93 was the first production year for the CBR900RR. I need to get the admin to update the boards here to show that. If yours was made 11/92, technically it's a 93 model. Most japanese manafactures start making the next model years vehicles around september. So if a bike was made 9/01, more then likely it's still sold as a 2002 model. Just the way they do it. So you have any pics of your 93?

The CBR900RR was released in 1992 as a 1993 Model. It was Motorcycle of the Year ( Motorcyclist) in 1992..the 1994 model showed up in mid 1993. I was working at a Honda Dealership at the time and I have a HUGE collection of old Motorcyclist, Cycle World, Cycle, Cycle Guide, Brochures, ect from 1980 to present that I am always going thru.
This is where I find alot of my info and specs

I just noticed that the original CBR900 is not included in the "years" for this section.
I personally had a Red/White?blue '93 a few months back and I think that is the best looking of the CBR900
