Wink want to add a stablemate to my 1000F

Like all you guys in here, I like the looks of the 900RR. I have a blk/wht/red '94 1000F. It would be a perfect world to have the 900 in the same paint from 93-94. So what do I look for and watch out for on a first gen 900RR? Thanks in advance!

I bought my '93 a couple years ago with around 20k miles. I didn't really watch out for anything specifically when I was looking at bikes. Just looking out for common sense stuff like signs that it has been abused or damaged...both cosmetically and mechanically. The only known failure that I was aware of with the 900RR was the need to replace the regulator / rectifier at some point. I already had a spare one from my F2, so it wasn't a major concern for me.

Hey thanks a bunch! I'm kind of partial to the '93 red/white/blue and the '94 red/white/black. Are you going after a particular year and color?

Ha...I'm just north of you in Michigan. No more riding for me this year.

This is the paint scheme you need to match your 1000F.

There is one for sale on Cycletrader.com that is in mint condition. 3,000 miles. They want 6K for it.

Scutfargas is correct. If I found a deal on the White/Black/Red it would be nice. My favorite is the Silver/Black/Red like Hollywood. There is a Red/White/Blue '93 here in town. I haven't seen it yet, but might this weekend. Hollywood interested in a trade for a R/W/Blu?

That's very tempting. My brother has a red/white/blue and I love it. Here's a picture of our bikes together at my place.

I totally forgot about bambam's bike that he's selling. He's right...it's just like mine and it sounds like a good price.

Bambam - I know I owe you a phone call. I apologize, just haven't had any time recently but I will try to call you soon to work something out.

Talking

That's pretty sweet, you and your brother have doo-lin 900rr's. Love the pic of them together too. I tried to talk my son into a 1000f when he was looking for a two-up machine. He decided to go the cruiser route with a Shadow.
I'll have to look into this BamBam thing!

Thier was the darker scheme colored one in Ravenna Ohio a little while back. It was all stock and the guy claimed it was all original with 8K on it. He was selling it for 4K but I tried to talk him down but he wouldnt budge. Nice bikes by the way guys!
