Touch up paint
Hey does anybody know of a place where i can get touch up paint for my 99 900rr. I assuming the dealer has it, so im gonna call them tomorow to see. I had an ufortunate accident while being an idiot and riding in the neighbor hood today. I just got the bike two days ago, and the auto tags place wasnt open ,so i have to wait to monday to get the tags for it. Well being impatient and stupid i took it for a quick ride in the section where i live, it had stopped raining about an hour earlier so i was a littel damp. well long story short i gave her a little too much throttel, I know i know , i got stupid for a second. Well anyway the rear kicked out, and i went sideways, i corrected and ended up going down on the other side. WEll someone saw and called the cops, i was only going slow so i had no injury just a scrape on the hand, a bruised ego, and a hurt pride. The frame slider did its job, saved the fairings for the most part but there is a littel scuff in the white paint, color rite, doesnt sell the white. I ordered new sliders, they are extended , made out of aluminum and have replacedable delrin caps. I will replace them when they come and fix the scuffs. It really hurts to have done this to such a perfect bike, there wasnt a mark or scratch on it, and now she has a scar. The original owner had her for 9 years ,never laid her down, and in 9,000 miles she led a perfect life, i get her for 2 fuggin days and lay her down.[X(] im feeling pretty bad rite about now

RE: Touch up paint
I assume you're talking about the white on the tail.... I bought some testors paint from a hobby shop that matched really well. If you're trying to cover more than just a little scratch you should consider buying a new piece since it sounds like you have a pretty nice bike. New tails are only $150 each side so that would be money well spent on a nice machine in my opinion.

RE: Touch up paint
well its not the tail its the side fairing on the bottom, below the frame slider. It really sucks, the bike was so goddam mint and perfect. I think i can touch it up and no one will ever no it except me. If it doesnt meet my requirements after touch up,then i will definately buy a new fairing.
