Evenin fellas

Just finished with the paint on my seat cowl I've been workin on. Made it from almost scratch, used the old seat pan so I could still use the storage. It lacks the red pinstripe to finish everything but lemme know what yall think of the overall shape and such. ex : "its to tall, or the sweep looks bad."

lemme know what u guys think . I know the pics are kinda dark my cam sucks

Remember, I haven't put up the pinstripe, just try and imagine it there haha. Or photochop it . Can't wait to hear your comments

[EDIT] I'll get more pics up soon.... It's about as tall as the gas tank, it looks higher in the pic bc of the angle.

Thats an awesome product man since you made it all by yourself. I will never be able to do that . To be honest I will make the cowl as small as possible to compensate the existing huge rear of the RR.

Gotta admit, your a hell of a "Body" guy to be able to pull that out from scratch. No wayon gods green earth I could come close to that... With that being said, yeah its a little tall.. It reminds me of the Busa Rear seat cowl which Im not a fan of. If you could get rid of the higher hump that it has and almost give it the same profile as if it were the seat I think it would be perfect.. But man the paint and finish damn fine work sir. Just my opinion but I admire your dedication to your 900. Good form! Gotta love the cold temps.. allows for these little projects that we all know we want to do.

From an air flow perspective it's tight. It is surely more aerodynamic than a standard cowl if you are tucked in. But......considering the rest of the bike is an aerodynamic nightmare it doesnt matter much. I think it looks nice......I dig it. [sm=shades.gif]

Dude, it looks badazzz!

From a fellow mutilator of motorcycles perspective, I'd paint the entire tail black to visually reduce the bulk.

Looks very nice. I would keep wit hthe scheme though and do a red stripe around the black on it to flow better with the rest of the bike

[UPDATE]

Thanks for the comments guys.....another view. And grubeda...This is my 1st attempt at bodywork. I've never done anything like this before, I'm an engine builder. Never worked with fiberglass, bondo, paint or any thing of that matter. And this is a rattlecan paintjob too. Still lacks the stripe, hoping to get it done today.

the grey IS a shade off, I am bummed with that. But its my first attempt at somethin like this. (i know, the bike is dirty)

don't mind the clutter in the garage, thats another project
